About The Role
The Senior Staff Accountant at DHL eCommerce Weston, FL, will play a pivotal role in supporting the company's financial reporting processes within the United States. This position requires a thorough understanding of internal control design concepts and the ability to ensure accuracy and compliance across various financial functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex account reconciliations, analyzing financial data, and utilizing SAP S/4 Hana for reporting and process improvements. Qualifications

Proficiency in large-scale ERP systems, particularly SAP, is essential. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational abilities, and a keen eye for detail. Familiarity with IFRS and GAAP standards, along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills, will be crucial for success in this role. The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment is also essential.

- Ensure all tax and duty-related balance sheet accounts are accurately recorded, reconciled, and supported each period. Investigate variances, clear aged items, validate accruals, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain the integrity, completeness, and cleanliness of all related accounts.
- Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations, promptly identifying and resolving discrepancies to ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of complex accounts to confirm compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
- Utilize SAP S/4 Hana for financial reporting, analysis, and process improvements, ensuring data accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and participate actively in internal and external audits, supporting compliance efforts.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement best practices to streamline accounting operations.
- Collaborate closely with finance, operations, and IT departments to support business objectives and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Apply advanced technical accounting skills to complex transactions, ensuring compliance with relevant standards such as GAAP and IFRS.
- Drive high performance within the accounting team by mentoring, coaching, and providing ongoing feedback to foster a culture of excellence and accountability.
