We are looking for a Accounts Payable Senior Accountant to join FIT House of Brand's Finance & Accounting Team at its headquarters in Austin, TX. Reporting to our Global AP Manager, the individual selected for this role will be responsible for assisting, overseeing, and supporting the accounts payable function on a global scale within the organization. Responsibilities Accounts Payable:
Reviews and processes complex vendor invoices for timely payment
Works with internal customers to ensure proper authorization, accurate vendor billing and coding to support GAAP financials, and compliance with various management service agreements between related parties
Maintains and reconciles AP subledger
Assist with vendor implementation
Develop process efficiencies through use of technology
Policy and procedure documentation, maintenance and training
Identifies areas for process improvement and time savings in existing processes and procedures
Accounting:
Prepares journal entries and/ or other required work papers to support journal entries to the general or subsidiary ledgers in accordance with GAAP and established accounting policies and procedures
Reviews the general ledger activity and trial balances monthly for coding accuracy and reasonableness
Reconciles general ledger accounts as assigned and in accordance with Company policy
Coordinates the monthly closing of AP in Netsuite
Provides support cross-functionally as required
Updates policies and procedures as needed
Provides special reports as required
Taxes
Research Texas sales and use tax issues, familiarity with Global taxes including, VAT, GST and HST
Ensure Texas sales and use tax on all purchase has been properly paid and or accrued
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration or finance preferred
Five (5) years of experience in accounting or accounts payable
Experience working in a Global multi-entity, multi-currency environment
Must have NetSuite experience and Advanced Excel skills
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Experience managing the accounts payable process
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, and manage competing priorities
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent interpersonal & problem solving skills, ability to apply common sense in performing job
Ability to work in a team environment, to engage others, listen and adapt response to meet others' needs
Ability to align own actions with those of other team members committed to common goals
Excellent computer and keyboarding skills, including familiarity with Windows
