Role Description
- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping for 8–12 monthly clients (AP, AR, bank & credit card reconciliations, journal entries)
- Prepare accurate monthly financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules
- Manage client payroll processing and related tax filings
- Handle sales tax returns and other compliance filings
- Maintain clean, organized client files in QuickBooks Online
- Communicate directly with clients via email/phone regarding questions, adjustments, and deadlines
- Meet all internal deadlines with consistent, high-quality deliverables
- Assist with year-end preparation for tax accountants (1099s, trial balances, etc.)
Qualifications
- 3+ years of full-charge bookkeeping experience (required)
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online (must be able to work independently)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Professional written and verbal communication
- Reliable transportation and ability to work in-office in Liberty, MO (no remote)
- Accounting degree or bookkeeping certification is a plus, but strong experience is more important
