Working closely with the Maintenance Director, the Maintenance Assistant will assist with general repairs, facility upkeep, and ensuring the building and grounds remain in excellent condition.

Join Our Team as a Maintenance Assistant
Belgrove Rehab and Nursing Center is seeking a dependable and hardworking Maintenance Assistant to join our team on weekends. This role is essential in helping maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.
Working closely with the Maintenance Director, the Maintenance Assistant will assist with general repairs, facility upkeep, and ensuring the building and grounds remain in excellent condition.
Responsibilities
- Follow directions from the Maintenance Director
- Maintain building and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition
- Perform basic maintenance and repair work throughout the facility
- Maintain and care for tools and equipment
- Complete minor repairs on:
- Handrails
- Windows
- Flooring, walls, and ceilings
- Beds, wheelchairs, and geri-chairs
- Electrical equipment
- Sprinkler systems
- Generators
- Emergency lighting
- Fire alarms and extinguishers
- Change filters on HVAC equipment
- Carry, lift, and stock supplies as needed
- Assist with supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the Maintenance Director
- Ensure residents and families receive high-quality service in a compassionate environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Ability to maintain supplies, equipment, and work areas in a safe and sanitary condition
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Knowledge of cleaning compounds and safety procedures
- Maintenance, handyman, or renovation experience preferred
- Nursing home or healthcare facility experience is a plus
- Reliable, team-oriented, and detail-focused
