As a Housekeeping Aide, you will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. R
Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and dust floors throughout the facility.
- Clean and sanitize toilets, sinks, resident beds, and furniture.
- Vacuum and dust equipment, computers, and phones.
- Maintain cleanliness in resident rooms, nurses’ stations, visitor bathrooms, and nourishment/medication refrigerators under nursing supervision.
- Empty wastebaskets regularly and ensure areas are stocked with necessary supplies.
- Perform high-dusting, deep cleaning, and special cleaning projects as needed.
- Assist with preparation for inspections and regulatory audits.
- Report maintenance and repair needs promptly.
- Follow all safety procedures, infection control protocols, and dress code policies.
- Assist with the orientation of new staff and participate in performance improvement initiatives.
- Respond to pages and perform emergency duties when necessary to support resident care and facility operations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in the healthcare field; nursing home experience preferred.
- Skills: Knowledge of housekeeping equipment, cleaning supplies, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Additional Requirements: Ability to attend mandatory annual in-services and other assigned training sessions.
