About the role

What You’ll Do
The Corporate & Specialty Banking Analyst will support the confidential client’s Corporate Banking team with ongoing client coverage and credit-related activities. This is an entry-level, developmental role ideal for candidates pursuing a career in relationship management, credit, portfolio management, or capital markets.
  • Support Corporate Banking coverage teams and product partners in preparing client and internal presentations, proposals, and pitch materials.
  • Conduct industry and market research to inform target market identification, product suitability, and competitive positioning.
  • Perform corporate finance and credit/return analysis to support deal structuring and portfolio reviews.
  • Assist credit underwriting teams in preparing deal approval materials and portfolio analysis requests.
  • Maintain accurate client and account information across internal bank systems and CRM platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal partners including product partners, credit underwriting, credit administration, and capital markets.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support relationship and portfolio objectives.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in underwriting, commercial banking, credit analysis, or a financial analyst program.
  • FINRA Series 79 and 63 (or required combination) obtained or ability to obtain within 4 months of hire.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • High level of attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, and professional presentation ability.

Preferred qualifications
  • 1–3 years of experience in a regional or national bank analyst program with credit training.
  • Experience with financial institutions, insurance, broker-dealers, clearing houses, IRAs, or Financial Institution Groups.
  • Prior exposure to commercial/relationship management or capital markets support functions.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Pay range (base): $49,925 – $100,000 annually. Actual compensation will vary based on location, experience, education, and other lawful factors.
  • Colleagues may be eligible for incentive/bonus programs where applicable.
  • Benefits typically include health insurance, wellness programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO). Final benefit eligibility and details are provided by the hiring manager/our client.

Location & Work Arrangement
  • Primary work location: Illinois Medical District / Chicago, IL (60684). Position is classified as Office-based with potential flexible/hybrid arrangements determined by the hiring team.
  • JobLocationType: Telecommute/Hybrid options may be possible for certain roles — specific work arrangements will be communicated by the hiring team.
  • Exempt status: Exempt (not eligible for overtime pay).
