About the role

East Coast Warehouse (ECW) is seeking a high-impact Vice President of Business Development to lead strategic growth initiatives across the Southeast.
This is a leadership-level role responsible for driving new business across temperature-controlled warehousing, distribution, transportation, and integrated 3PL services. The individual in this role will play a critical part in positioning ECW’s Georgia operation as a premier Southeast logistics hub serving food & beverage, CPG, refrigerated/frozen, retail, and import/export customers.
The ideal candidate is both strategic and execution-focused — capable of building long-term relationships while aggressively pursuing new revenue opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Growth & Revenue Development
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy for the Georgia region aligned with ECW’s national commercial objectives.
  • Identify, target, and secure new business.
  • Drive revenue growth across warehousing, transportation, drayage, and value-added services.
  • Build and manage a disciplined, high-quality sales pipeline with consistent forecasting.
  • Drive performance to meet or surpass all revenue targets.

Business Development Execution
  • Prospect and cultivate relationships with supply chain executives, operations leaders, and procurement decision-makers.
  • Lead complex sales cycles from initial outreach through proposal development, pricing strategy, contract negotiation, and closing.
  • Deliver professional presentations and proposals that clearly articulate ECW’s value proposition.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with operations, transportation, finance, and executive leadership to ensure seamless onboarding of new customers.
  • Conduct thorough account handoffs and remain involved during implementation to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Provide market feedback to leadership to help guide pricing strategy, capacity planning, and expansion initiatives.

Market Representation & Brand Growth
  • Represent ECW at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions throughout the Southeast.
  • Strengthen ECW’s brand presence and reputation within the Georgia logistics market.

Experience & Background
  • 7+ years of business development experience within 3PL, logistics, supply chain, or temperature-controlled warehousing.
  • Proven track record of consistently closing new business and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Experience selling warehousing, distribution, transportation, and integrated logistics solutions.
