Maintenance Technician
Courtyard by Marriott is seeking a dedicated and service-focused Maintenance Technician to join our team and help maintain the overall operation, safety, and appearance of the hotel. The ideal candidate is hands-on, proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining Marriott brand standards while delivering excellent guest service.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections throughout the property
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical issues
- Respond quickly to guest maintenance requests and emergency repairs
- Maintain guestrooms, public areas, pool/spa areas, and hotel equipment to Marriott standards
- Complete work orders and maintain accurate maintenance records
- Assist with painting, drywall, carpentry, and general repairs
- Support QA readiness and daily property walks
- Coordinate with Front Desk and Housekeeping regarding room readiness and maintenance needs
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies
- Assist with vendor coordination and equipment monitoring as needed
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous maintenance or engineering experience preferred, preferably in hospitality
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift, bend, climb, and perform physical tasks as needed
- Strong sense of urgency and accountability
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- HVAC or maintenance certifications are a plus
