DAVRON is seeking a highly experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with an active CPA license to lead the financial infrastructure, accounting remediation, GAAP compliance, and long-term financial strategy of our growing organization. This is a hands-on executive leadership role for a senior accounting professional who thrives in complex environments, understands operational finance at a deep level, and has the experience to reconstruct, strengthen, and modernize accounting systems and financial controls. The ideal candidate will possess a strong public accounting background combined with extensive experience in audit, financial reconstruction, reconciliation, revenue recognition, GAAP compliance, and accounting operations leadership. This position is fully in-person at DAVRON headquarters in Land O’ Lakes, Florida. The initial focus of this role will involve leading a comprehensive historical accounting reconstruction and financial remediation initiative, including:
Revenue recognition analysis
Historical reconciliation
Financial reconstruction
Receivables validation
Liability identification
GAAP compliance review
Audit-readiness preparation
Accounting process modernization
However, this is not simply a cleanup project. We are seeking a long-term financial executive who will ultimately oversee the company’s accounting leadership, financial operations, controls, reporting systems, compliance structure, and strategic financial direction as DAVRON continues scaling. Responsibilities:
Financial Reconstruction & Accounting Remediation
Lead reconstruction and validation of historical accounting records
Analyze historical billing structures, collections, cancellations, and revenue recognition treatment
Reconcile accounting records against bank statements, contracts, invoices, and source documentation
Identify and correct accounting misclassifications, overstated receivables, understated liabilities, and improperly recognized revenue
Ensure financial statements properly reflect economic reality and GAAP standards
Prepare accounting records to become fully supportable and audit-ready
Executive Financial Leadership
Serve as the company’s senior financial executive
Develop scalable accounting systems and financial controls
Implement GAAP-compliant accounting policies and best practices
Establish improved recurring billing, cancellation, revenue recognition, and reconciliation procedures
Oversee monthly close processes, financial reporting, and operational accounting
Build long-term financial infrastructure capable of supporting company growth
Advise ownership on financial strategy, operational efficiency, risk management, and compliance
Collaborate directly with leadership on strategic initiatives and organizational scaling
Accounting Systems & Operational Excellence
Optimize and improve QuickBooks workflows and financial reporting systems
Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for accounting operations
Improve internal controls, documentation standards, and accounting oversight
Help transition the company toward higher-level financial sophistication and operational maturity
Support future audit preparation and external financial review processes
Requirements:
Active CPA license REQUIRED
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
Public accounting experience REQUIRED
Significant experience in audit, accounting advisory, forensic accounting, financial reconstruction, or accounting remediation
Strong understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition principles
Advanced QuickBooks expertise REQUIRED
Extensive experience performing complex reconciliations and financial investigations
Proven ability to reconstruct accounting records from incomplete or imperfect historical information
Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving abilities
Executive-level communication and leadership skills
Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on
Must be willing to work on-site at DAVRON headquarters in Land O’ Lakes, Florida
Preferred Backgrounds
Big Four or regional public accounting firm experience
Audit Manager, Senior Audit Manager, or Accounting Advisory background
CFO, Controller, or outsourced CFO experience
Forensic accounting or litigation support experience
Financial remediation or accounting cleanup project leadership
Revenue recognition and complex reconciliation expertise
Experience building accounting infrastructure for growing organizations
