About the role

Role Overview
We're building high-fidelity enterprise environments used to train and evaluate frontier models and we need seasoned public health professionals to recreate the digital workspaces and workflows they run every day. Your real-world expertise becomes the benchmark.
What You Will Be Doing
  • Build a realistic digital workspace using your actual Drive folders, documents, and tools including surveillance summaries, grant applications, policy briefs, program evaluations, and outbreak write-ups
  • Design multi-step, real-workflow-grounded tasks that require navigating multiple platforms, files, and stakeholders at a level of complexity that genuinely challenges state-of-the-art systems
  • Collaborate with fellow public health professionals to shape environment design, define task scope, and review scenarios for realism and rigor
  • Work asynchronously with research teams to refine task designs and evaluation criteria for public health benchmarks
  • Contribute directly to frontier research your output informs how leading labs train and assess the next generation of intelligent systems

Who We Are Looking For
  • Background in a federal health agency, large state or county health department, major academic school of public health, or a Fortune 500 population health organization
  • Expertise in one or more of the following: epidemiology and surveillance, outbreak investigation, health policy or program evaluation, population health management, grants administration, or environmental/occupational health
  • Day-to-day fluency with tools such as Esri ArcGIS, SAS or MATLAB, and Socrata or ArcGIS Hub
  • Strong analytical and written communication skills able to translate complex public health workflows into structured, evaluable task specifications
  • MPH, PhD, or DrPH preferred; biostatistics or GIS proficiency a plus

Role Details
Compensation: $1,100 $1,450 per completed task (performance bonuses available; top contributors may transition to hourly model)
Work Style: Remote, flexible schedule
Duration: Contract (independent contractor engagement); ongoing with performance-based continuation
