You walk through a facility and immediately identify what's wrong — the ceiling tile that hasn't been reported, the HVAC return that's been making noise for days, the landscaping contractor who completed half the work but submitted a full invoice. You don't wait for feedback from customers. You resolve issues before they become visible. That awareness defines this position. 2 Hour Learning runs premium K–12 facilities where families invest in a setting that remains safe, reliable, and presentation-ready every day — not exclusively during scheduled events. You'll maintain that standard throughout the Northeast: Manhattan serving as your primary location, with consistent travel to facilities in CT, MA, and PA. Your efforts determine whether a campus maintains its premium status or gradually deteriorates between leadership reviews. Year one focuses heavily on establishing standards and vendor accountability — defining what "ready" means, implementing the audit schedule, transitioning away from underperforming vendors, and establishing a repeatable operational rhythm for Campus Coordinators and Site Specialists. As additional schools join the region and your operating model matures, the position evolves into sustained regional oversight: you become the operations leader the network relies on during new campus launches, emergency situations, or when standards require revision. This is a field-based position. If your preference is dashboard-based management, this role isn't suitable. If you want direct responsibility for whether 25+ facilities maintain premium standards daily — and the authority to deliver that outcome — continue reading. What You Will Be Doing
Executing scheduled on-site inspections across Northeast facilities against documented standards covering cleanliness, HVAC, safety, security, signage, landscaping, furniture, and presentation-readiness — and converting inspection findings into confirmed corrective actions
Addressing facilities issues and emergencies, coordinating vendor response, and closing work orders only after confirming resolution (urgent items <24 hours, standard items <1 week)
Overseeing local vendor execution against service level agreements, transitioning away from consistently underperforming vendors, renegotiating contract scopes, and conducting direct accountability discussions regarding quality and cost performance
Establishing a weekly operational rhythm with Campus Coordinators and Site Specialists to ensure each facility executes standardized procedures rather than ad hoc responses
Overseeing significant campus improvement projects (HVAC replacements, interior updates, landscaping, AV/networking installations) delivered on timeline and within budget, minimizing student disruption
Documenting enterprise standards and AI-enabled procurement frameworks (utilizing ticketing platforms, IoT/predictive maintenance tools, and centralized sourcing systems) to ensure consistent campus launch and operation
Delivering concise weekly written updates on regional quality metrics, vendor performance, escalated issues, and capital expenditure tracking
What You Won’t Be Doing
Operating remotely from a dashboard — this position demands regular in-person presence at Manhattan and 20–40% travel to regional locations (CT, MA, PA)
Leading new campus design or managing ground-up construction projects — capital expansion is managed by a separate team
Developing enterprise procurement strategy independently from field operations — your standards originate from direct site observation
Working within established reporting structures with formal authority over all contributing personnel — you'll establish accountability through clarity, documented follow-through, and rejection of imprecise vendor commitments
Accepting "presentation-ready only during leadership visits" as acceptable — recurring problems receive root cause analysis, not repeat work orders
Defaulting to reactive crisis management — the audit schedule and predictive maintenance tools exist to identify failures before they generate complaints
Vice President Multi-Site Operations Key Responsibilities Maintain every campus in the Northeast region as safe, premium, and presentation-ready every day. Basic Requirements
Located in New York City or within commuting range, prepared to work primarily from the Manhattan campus with 20–40% regional travel

5+ years of experience managing multi-site facilities, regional operations, hospitality operations, retail operations, or school operations
Documented track record managing vendor-delivered services for quality, cost, and SLA compliance across multiple sites
Direct experience addressing urgent facilities problems (safety, HVAC, security, cleanliness) with measurable customer experience outcomes
Confirmed experience with contemporary operations platforms (ticketing systems, IoT/predictive maintenance, AI-assisted procurement or planning)
Nice-to-have Requirements
Multi-site operations leadership experience in premium hospitality, luxury retail, private K–12 education, or healthcare networks serving demanding customers
Experience establishing or rehabilitating a regional operations framework that previously depended on individual heroics instead of standardized processes
Demonstrated history of vendor transitions and rebuilding a regional vendor network
Experience managing capital improvement initiatives (HVAC, AV/networking, landscaping, interior renovations) in active, customer-facing settings
Experience operating in an AI-first environment where automated playbooks, dashboards, and predictive systems handle routine tasks so personnel concentrate on decision-making
