About the role

Key Deliverables
  • Agency Security Programs Support the evaluation and continuous improvement of agency security programs by assisting with performance reviews and identifying opportunities for enhancement.
  • Project Support Assist in monitoring project budgets, reporting, and development of the video library, including tracking footage for operational insights and incident documentation.
  • Project Tracking & Performance Metrics Track and monitor all assigned projects and provide regular status updates to leadership.
  • Stakeholder Coordination & Policy Review Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure security systems, protocols, and policies are reviewed and updated as required.
  • Technology Research & Vendor Assessment Assist in researching and evaluating emerging security technologies and vendors, including AI-enabled surveillance and analytics tools.
  • Presentation & Program Support Support departmental tracking and reporting for tactical programs (e.g., drones, deployable camera development) as required.
  • Budget Tracking & Reporting Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and prepare financial reports to ensure alignment with funding allocations and cost controls.

Requirements
  • This position requires onsite presence at various locations within the NYC Service Territory. After 30 days from the hire date, the employee is eligible for one telework day per week.
  • The candidate may be required to work a flexible schedule (not to exceed 37.5 hours per week, up to 48 weeks per year).
  • Mandatory Leave Requirement As of January 2026, a mandatory two-week unpaid vacation per year will be required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

Qualifications & Experience
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in project coordination or project management, with an emphasis on physical security or technical system deployment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
  • General familiarity with project management principles.
  • General understanding of video management systems and security camera technologies.
  • Basic understanding of IT communication and networking concepts, including protocols, encryption, VPNs, operating systems, and resource allocation.
  • General understanding of electrical principles related to security and low-voltage systems.
  • Familiarity with the engineering design cycle and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license required.
  • Preferred: Lean Six Sigma certification or experience.
