Job Title: Logistics & Inventory Coordinator
Location: Saratoga County
Salary: $65,000 – $75,000
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics & Inventory Coordinator to support daily operations across shipping, inventory control, and purchasing. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate inventory management, timely deliveries, and efficient coordination between vendors, suppliers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Shipping
  • Schedule shipments and coordinate transportation with carriers and vendors
  • Communicate with customers and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries
  • Resolve shipping and delivery issues as they arise
  • Prepare shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing slips, and customs forms
  • Identify opportunities to improve logistics efficiency and reduce costs

Inventory Management
  • Monitor inventory levels and perform regular audits
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP/MRP systems and spreadsheets
  • Coordinate receiving, storage, and order fulfillment activities
  • Track and reconcile inventory across multiple locations
  • Implement and maintain location/bin tracking systems
  • Perform cycle counts and investigate discrepancies
  • Analyze inventory trends to optimize stock levels and storage efficiency

Purchasing & Supplier Coordination
  • Prepare and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships and resolve order issues
  • Collaborate with internal teams to forecast material needs and prevent shortages
  • Ensure accuracy of orders, receipts, and invoicing

Compliance & Documentation
  • Maintain accurate shipping, purchasing, and inventory records
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulations

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, purchasing, or inventory management
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Willingness to work in a hands-on warehouse/production environment

Preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
