Job Title: Logistics & Inventory Coordinator Location: Saratoga County Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics & Inventory Coordinator to support daily operations across shipping, inventory control, and purchasing. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate inventory management, timely deliveries, and efficient coordination between vendors, suppliers, and internal teams. Key Responsibilities Logistics & Shipping
Schedule shipments and coordinate transportation with carriers and vendors
Communicate with customers and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries
Resolve shipping and delivery issues as they arise
Prepare shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing slips, and customs forms
Identify opportunities to improve logistics efficiency and reduce costs
Inventory Management
Monitor inventory levels and perform regular audits
Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP/MRP systems and spreadsheets
Coordinate receiving, storage, and order fulfillment activities
Track and reconcile inventory across multiple locations
Implement and maintain location/bin tracking systems
Perform cycle counts and investigate discrepancies
Analyze inventory trends to optimize stock levels and storage efficiency
Purchasing & Supplier Coordination
Prepare and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers
Maintain strong vendor relationships and resolve order issues
Collaborate with internal teams to forecast material needs and prevent shortages
Ensure accuracy of orders, receipts, and invoicing
Compliance & Documentation
Maintain accurate shipping, purchasing, and inventory records
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulations
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, purchasing, or inventory management
Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Familiarity with warehouse management systems
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
High attention to detail and accuracy
Willingness to work in a hands-on warehouse/production environment
Preferred
Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
