We are seeking a **Staff Network Security Engineer ** to architect the defense of our global backbone, edge, and massive-scale GPU clusters. We are looking for a builder, not an administrator. You will move beyond "configuring firewalls" to engineering security into the network fabric itself—utilizing telemetry, automation, and deep protocol

In this role, you will:

- Developing robust, repeatable frameworks for network security automation (CoPP, ACL generation, Route Filtering) that make it easy for teams to build securely from day one.

- Collaborating closely with Network Engineering teams to integrate security checks and validation seamlessly into their CI/CD and config-push pipelines.

- Crafting clear, practical security guidance and documentation that empowers engineers to deploy secure routing policies and topologies.

- Actively participating in architectural discussions regarding peering, transit, and traffic engineering, providing insightful security recommendations.

**Who You Are**

- 7+ years of experience directly focused on Network Engineering, Infrastructure Security, or ISP/Backbone operations.

- Strong skills in core network protocols (BGP, OSPF/IS-IS, TCP/IP) and deep knowledge of how they function at the packet level.

- Solid experience developing network automation or security tooling in Go, Python, or similar modern languages.

- Proven experience collaborating with network architects to implement secure designs in multi-vendor environments (Arista EOS, SONiC, Juniper, etc.).

- Excellent ability to negotiate and reach consensus with engineers and fellow security practitioners, as well as excellent technical documentation skills.

- Familiarity with Linux networking internals, control plane protection, and managing infrastructure as code.

**Preferred**

- Hands-on experience with hyperscale network architectures (CLOS fabrics, MPLS/EVPN, VXLAN) and the unique security challenges of high-performance computing.

- Familiarity with hardware-level networking security (SmartNICs/DPUs, connectX) and flow-based telemetry analysis.

**The base salary range for this role is $188,000 to $275,000. **The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. - Frontier Orchestration: Oversee the evolution of SUNK (Slurm on Kubernetes) to provide researchers with deterministic, bare-metal performance through a cloud-native interface.

- Holistic Training Services: Beyond Slurm, drive the development of next-generation orchestrators and automated training-based evaluation frameworks that ensure model quality throughout the lifecycle.

- Post-Training Excellence: Build the infrastructure required for sophisticated Reinforcement Learning (RL) and RLHF pipelines, enabling labs to refine foundation models with maximum efficiency.

- Customer Advocacy: Act as the primary technical partner for lead researchers at global AI labs, translating their "future-state" requirements into actionable product roadmaps.

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field; or equivalent hands-on experience.

- 3+ years in a quality role in data center, electronics manufacturing, or hardware operations environments.

- Deep functional knowledge of QMS frameworks and ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001) including document control, nonconformance management, and change control.

- Demonstrated ability to govern compliance and quality processes within rapid-growth, high-complexity operational environments.

- Hands-on experience with digital QMS platforms such as ETQ, Arena, or comparable systems.

- Tools-savvy: proficiency with ERP, ticketing, and QMS software; adept in spreadsheets and dashboarding; able to build repeatable reporting from raw operational data.

- Experience with high-performance compute hardware (GPUs, servers, racks, power/cooling interfaces) and large-scale data center environments.

**Preferred**

- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification or equivalent auditor credentials preferred.

- Desired certification on Lean principles, Six Sigma Green Belt, or similar.

**Our Workplace**

While we prioritize a hybrid work environment, remote work may be considered for candidates located more than 30 miles from an office, based on role requirements for specialized skill sets. New hires will be invited to attend onboarding at one of our hubs within their first month. Teams also gather quarterly to support collaboration.
