**Requirements**

The **Civil Engineer ** is a critical support role focused on the planning, design, and execution of civil and structural components for utility-scale solar, battery energy storage, and substation EPC projects. Under the direct mentorship of the Senior Civil Engineer, this position bridges the gap between conceptual design and constructability. The ideal candidate will take ownership of site layout, permitting tasks, ensuring that all designs meet stringent client requirements, regulatory, internal quality standards, and construction team support.

**What You'll Do**

- Support civil design efforts for utility-scale solar, substation, and BESS projects, including site layouts, grading, drainage, erosion control, and stormwater management.

- Collaborate with estimating, preconstruction, construction, and electrical teams to develop cost-effective, constructible project designs.

- Assist with engineering deliverables such as quantity takeoffs, foundational design inputs, proposal reviews, and responses to RFIs.

- Review project documentation including geotechnical reports, hydrology, topography, zoning bylaws, and applicable state and federal regulations.

**What You Bring**

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required; recent or upcoming graduates encouraged to apply, with EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.

- Knowledge of civil engineering principles including site development, hydrology, grading, foundation design, and permitting processes within utility-scale or renewable energy projects.

- Proficiency with engineering and design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bluebeam, GIS, HydroCAD, or similar platforms.

- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

- Ability to support field and construction activities, including site visits and travel up to 20%, with a valid driver’s license and capability to navigate active job sites.

Civil Engineer

**Brief Description**

Conductor Power is seeking skilled Substation Technician to perform installation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of high-voltage (HV) electrical substations and equipment. Responsibilities include ensuring system reliability, adhering to safety standards, and supporting project timelines. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with HV systems, strong technical expertise, and a commitment to excellence in the power industry.

**Duties/Responsibilities**

- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain substation equipment, including transformers, circuit breakers, and protection relays.

- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.

- Monitor and assess the performance of solar energy systems and substations to ensure optimal operation.

- Utilize SCADA systems to analyze data and report on system performance.

- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations in compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines.

- Participate in safety training and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members.

- Diagnose electrical issues and perform necessary repairs to minimize downtime.

- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to resolve complex technical problems.

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.

- Prepare reports on system performance and maintenance activities for management.

- Complies with all company policies.

- All other duties as assigned or deemed appropriate.

**Requirements**

- Proven experience as a substation technician or in a similar role within the renewable energy sector.

- Strong knowledge of electrical theory, high voltage systems, and safety practices.

- Familiarity with solar energy systems and associated equipment.

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.

- Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and software.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to travel 100% to jobsite locations.

- Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

**Education/Experience**

- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
