Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in data testing, or quality engineering on enterprise data platforms.
- Strong SQL skills — able to write and reason about complex queries for validation, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis on large data sets.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform data services — BigQuery (essential), Dataflow, Cloud Composer, Dataform, and Cloud Storage.
- Solid understanding of ETL / ELT processes, data modeling, schema design, and dimensional modeling concepts.
- Working knowledge of automated data testing frameworks such as Great Expectations, , or Dataform assertions, and experience integrating tests into CI/CD using Git-based workflows.
- Demonstrated experience with source-to-target reconciliation and data validation techniques across heterogeneous systems.
- Experience documenting test cases, validation rules, and defects in Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills — able to clearly convey issue severity, impact, and root cause to engineers, leads, and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting an on-prem EDW migration to GCP, or comparable cloud data platform program.
- Working proficiency in Python for test automation and validation scripting.
- Familiarity with data observability concepts and tools.
- Experience working in Agile delivery models on multi-wave platform programs
