About the Role We're looking for a Social Media Video Editor who can do two things exceptionally well: craft high-conversion TikTok content and produce performance-driven ad creatives built to generate leads and drive sales across Meta (Facebook & Instagram) and TikTok. You'll be editing for real business outcomes: thumb-stops, click-throughs, add-to-carts, and purchases and appointments. What You'll Actually Be Doing On a daily basis you will:
Cut multiple ad variants from a shared footage pool, testing different hooks, formats, and CTAs.
Produce creatives across the top-performing Meta ad formats — including UGC-style testimonials , problem/solution story arcs , listicle ads , founder story formats , and before/after transformations .
Edit fast-paced, thumb-stopping TikTok content that feels native to the platform — not like an ad.
Build static and motion graphic assets (carousels, stills, short-form reels) optimized for Meta feed, Stories, and Reels placements.
Apply direct-response editing principles : strong hooks in the first 2–3 seconds, clear value props, social proof integration, and hard-hitting CTAs.
Follow creative briefs to produce original content for clients across varying niches.
Collaborate with the Creative Strategist to review performance data and iterate — understanding why a creative worked or didn't, and applying those learnings immediately.
Act on revision rounds quickly and accurately.
The Ad Creative Styles You'll Need to Know We run high-volume paid creative for Meta and TikTok. You should be fluent in — or fast to learn — these proven formats:
Hook-first UGC — Raw, authentic-feeling footage with punchy captions and fast cuts
Pain-point agitation ads — Opens with a relatable problem, builds tension, delivers the solution
Social proof stacks — Review overlays, comment screenshots, testimonial montages
Listicle/numbered ads — "3 reasons why..." structure with strong on-screen text
Founder/brand story — Narrative-driven, slightly longer-form for warmer audiences
Demo + result ads — Product in action → outcome, great for TikTok Shop
Text-heavy scroll-stoppers — Bold typography-led creatives optimised for silent viewing
Trend-jacked content — Native TikTok audio and formats applied to brand messaging
You'll Need
Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
Demonstrable experience editing paid social ad creatives (Meta and/or TikTok — portfolio required)
A solid understanding of direct-response creative principles (hooks, CTAs, retention curves)
Familiarity with Meta Ads Manager creative best practices (aspect ratios, text limits, placement specs)
Experience creating or editing UGC-style content that doesn't look like an ad
Curiosity, initiative, and a genuine hunger to grow
