Training will approximately last 3 - 6 months. After training, opportunity to work from home 4 days a week and 1 day a week onsite (subject to department needs). Monday - Friday, day shift, hybrid role As a Program Assistant/Scheduler at Cedars-Sinai Medical Network Pharmacy, you will assist in is supporting various programs and also support administrative functions that support the Medical Network Pharmacy department. The Program Assistant will support the day-to-day operations of our programs and may include special projects designed to improve the quality of service, care and efficiency delivered to Cedars-Sinai Medical Care Foundation patients. What's this role all about?
Perform patient outreach
Monitor and manage all referral requests/ques to ensure the clinical information is provided and/or are authorized and provide feedback to ordering providers or when submitting to the Health plan whichever is applicable
Develop strong partnership with liaisons, providers and all others one has direct contact with on a daily basis
Serve as a liaison between the department, Cedars-Sinai Medical Care Foundation providers and/or staff and the Management team
Develop system to track project outcomes and consistently provide feedback/updates to Management team
Help to uphold all program policies and procedures.
Coordinate, schedule, and prep for all group education classes
Liaison between provider offices, care managers and clinical pharmacists
Prepare protocol binders when appropriate for various programs
Obtain physician signatures when needed
Qualifications Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED minimum
Experience:
3 years experience in an outpatient clinical setting minimum
Experience in scheduling patients/knowing electronic medical record system/working in medical offices/health systems preferred
Physical Demands:
Sit at a desk or table with some walking, standing, bending, stooping, or carrying of light objects. Use hands and fingers to handle and manipulate objects and/or operate equipment. Perform continuous operation of a personal computer for four hours or more.
