Location: Remote - Carlsbad or Hobbs, NM or Midland, TX – must be local, no relocation considered
Employment Type: Full Time
Salary Range: $90,000-$130,000, depending on experience
Reports To: Senior Engineer or Geologist

Position Overview:
As a mid-to-senior member of our team, you'll lead and execute environmental compliance projects with oversight from senior staff, mentor junior colleagues, and serve as a key technical contributor on Permian Basin soil and groundwater investigations. You'll have real ownership over your projects while benefiting from the support of an experienced and collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee multiple concurrent projects focused on soil and groundwater site investigations and remedial actions
  • Manage field teams conducting soil sampling, excavation oversight, and groundwater monitoring programs for oil and gas clients
  • Maintain project schedules and budgets, coordinating with CDH staff and technical leads
  • Prepare reports, deliverables, and regulatory submittals in accordance with client objectives
  • Mentor and develop junior staff

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or related field
  • 6+ years of relevant industry experience, including at least 2 years of project management
  • Hands-on experience conducting site investigations and delineating contaminated soil and groundwater in the Permian Basin
  • Working knowledge of oil and gas processes and regulations in the Permian Basin
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with shifting priorities and requirements
  • Experience applying field safety processes and procedures
  • Must be local to the Carlsbad/Hobbs, NM or Midland, TX area

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience with Colorado Energy and Carbon Management Commission (ECMC) Regulations
  • Professional license (PE or PG)
