We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to support a 200-unit apartment community in Cape Coral, Florida. This role is responsible for maintaining the property’s overall condition, ensuring resident satisfaction, and performing a wide range of repairs and preventative maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair
- Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner
- Conduct routine inspections of units, buildings, and common areas
- Prepare vacant units for new residents (turnovers/make-readies)
- Troubleshoot maintenance issues and implement effective solutions
- Maintain property grounds, including light landscaping and exterior upkeep
- Ensure compliance with safety standards
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests (may include on-call rotation)
Qualifications
- 3+ years of maintenance experience (apartment or residential preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repair
- Ability to diagnose and repair issues independently
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Frequent walking, bending, climbing, and standing
- Ability to work outdoors in Florida heat and varying weather conditions
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive hourly pay: $25–$35/hour
- Stable, full-time position
