Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders across product, marketing, sales, operations, and finance to translate business questions into analytical projects
- Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from relational databases and data warehouses
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports in Tableau, Power BI, or Looker to surface key metrics and trends
- Design and execute A/B tests and experiments to measure the impact of product and business initiatives
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for growth
- Develop automated reporting workflows and data pipelines in partnership with data engineering
- Clean, validate, and document data sources to ensure accuracy and consistency across reports
- Present findings and recommendations to business leaders in clear, actionable terms
- Support KPI definition, target setting, and performance tracking across the organization
- Conduct cohort analysis, funnel analysis, retention analysis, and customer segmentation
- Collaborate with data engineering and analytics engineering teams to improve data models and definitions
- Continuously improve self-service analytics capabilities for non-technical users
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a data analyst, business analyst, or in a similar analytical role
- Strong proficiency in SQL, including complex joins, window functions, and CTEs
- Hands-on experience building dashboards in Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or a comparable BI tool
- Working knowledge of Python or R for data analysis and automation
- Experience working with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks
- Familiarity with spreadsheet modeling in Excel or Google Sheets, including pivot tables and advanced formulas
- Understanding of statistical concepts including hypothesis testing, regression, and significance testing
- Experience with experimentation platforms, product analytics tools (Amplitude, Mixpanel, GA4), or marketing analytics tools is a plus
- Exposure to dbt, Git, or modern analytics engineering workflows is a plus
- Strong communication skills — able to translate technical findings into business language
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment and manage priorities across multiple stakeholders
