Careerscape is hiring a Remote Business Analyst on behalf of our client, a growing technology-driven company headquartered in NJ. This fully remote business analyst role is built for a detail-oriented problem solver who can bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams. Compensation: $80,000 – $110,000/year · plus bonus opportunity Responsibilities
Partner with business stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritize functional and non-functional requirements
Translate business objectives into detailed user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, and process flows
Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and requirements-gathering sessions across multiple departments
Analyze existing business processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements
Create and maintain business process documentation including flowcharts, swim lanes, and standard operating procedures
Collaborate with product managers, engineering, QA, and UX teams throughout the software development lifecycle
Support user acceptance testing (UAT) including test case development, execution coordination, and issue triage
Conduct gap analysis between current-state and future-state processes and systems
Analyze data to support business cases, ROI calculations, and project prioritization decisions
Maintain project documentation in tools such as Jira, Confluence, Asana, or Azure DevOps
Support change management activities including training materials, release notes, and stakeholder communications
Serve as a liaison between business users and technical teams to ensure alignment throughout delivery
Requirements
3+ years of experience as a business analyst, systems analyst, or in a comparable role
Strong requirements-gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
Proficiency with requirements and project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Asana, or Azure DevOps
Experience creating process flows and diagrams using Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, or similar tools
Working knowledge of SQL for querying databases and validating data
Comfort with Excel or Google Sheets, including pivot tables, lookups, and advanced formulas
Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies, including backlog grooming and sprint ceremonies
Experience supporting UAT, including writing test cases and coordinating user testing
Exposure to BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker is a plus
CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or Scrum certifications are a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate between business and technical audiences
Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment and manage priorities across multiple projects
