Are you an experienced law enforcement professional ready to take on complex, high-impact investigations? We’re seeking a dedicated Peace Officer to join our team and play a critical role in protecting public trust, ensuring document integrity, and investigating criminal activity within a dynamic government environment.
In this position, you will operate in a full law enforcement capacity, conducting highly confidential and complex criminal investigations involving:
  • Internal security and employee misconduct
  • Fraud, document integrity, and public funds
  • Office burglaries and tampering with official records/systems
  • Other specialized criminal cases

You will also collaborate with major agencies such as the Department of Justice, FBI, and Department of Homeland Security on multi-agency investigations , representing the DMV in critical law enforcement operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct highly confidential and complex criminal investigations related to internal security, employee misconduct, document integrity, public funds, and other criminal matters
  • Investigate cases involving burglary, tampering with official records and systems, and other specialized incidents
  • Collaborate with multi-agency task forces, including partnerships with the Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Department of Homeland Security, and other allied agencies
  • Provide investigative testimony and serve as a witness in State and Federal courts
  • Offer advisory support and investigative services to legal staff and partner agencies
  • Perform full peace officer duties in accordance with California Penal Code Section 830.3
  • Effect and assist in arrests, issue citations for misdemeanors and registration violations, and serve/assist with search warrants
  • Complete additional assignments and duties as required

  • Strong investigative and analytical skills with the ability to handle sensitive and complex cases
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism when working with confidential information
  • Excellent communication skills, including report writing and courtroom testimony
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple law enforcement and government agencies
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and peace officer responsibilities
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations
