Job Skills / Requirements Access Control Officer (TS/SCI Eligible) Position Overview BTI Security is seeking professional and reliable Access Control Officers to support a federal contract in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. This position is responsible for supporting physical security operations and controlling access to government facilities while ensuring compliance with federal security procedures and protocols. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with an active Top-Secret clearance who are eligible to obtain Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access. No prior access control experience is required, paid training will be provided. Responsibilities
Control access to secured government facilities and restricted areas
Verify credentials, badges, and authorization for personnel and visitors
Monitor entry and exit points in accordance with federal security procedures
Maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation
Respond professionally to security incidents and emergencies
Follow all site-specific post orders and access control procedures
Protect sensitive and classified environments through strict adherence to security protocols
Maintain professionalism and strong communication with government personnel, visitors, and team members
Minimum Qualifications
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must possess an active Top Secret security clearance
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain SCI access
Ability to pass all required background and adjudication processes
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Professional appearance and demeanor
Ability to work in a fast-paced federal security environment
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods as required
SCI Eligibility Requirements Personnel supporting duties requiring access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) must meet all federal eligibility and indoctrination requirements prior to receiving access to SCI materials or environments. Requirements Include
Favorable SCI eligibility determination through Department of Defense Adjudication and Vetting Services (DOD AVS) or another authorized federal adjudication facility
Completion of all required pre-nomination interviews and indoctrination procedures
Execution of all required Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
Demonstrated need-to-know approval by the appropriate government authority
Compliance with all federal security regulations and contract security requirements
SCI processing will begin immediately upon hire and will be coordinated with the supporting Government Special Security Representative. Additional Information
