In our Bexley office, we specialize in treating oral dysfunction and orofacial pain by combining functional treatment with massage for pain relief and lasting results. By treating the body as a whole, we can maximize function and minimize pain. We have specialized training in lactation management, infant feeding disorders, bodywork for breastfeeding, TummyTime! Method, orofacial myofunctional disorders, massage for TMD/jaw pain, myofascial release and craniosacral therapy.

Our online service offerings include speech-language therapy, feeding therapy and literacy intervention for dyslexia. We are trained in the Orton-Gillingham methodology. We are a Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship provider.

We are a small, growing private practice seeking a compassionate and skilled part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. Our therapist-run practice values clinician satisfaction and work-life balance, offering flexible scheduling so you can choose what works best for you and your family. We take a holistic, root-cause approach to care, supporting children and families with speech, language, feeding, and myofunctional challenges. Rate begins at $50/hr and is based on years of experience with additional increases for bilingual clinicians or completion of specialized certifications/trainings. Direct/indirect and cancellations all paid at the same rate.

Clinician can choose their ideal schedule, with at least one day of after school availability in our Bexley office required. Other hours can be split between in-office and virtual therapy, as desired.

Qualifications

- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

- Experience working with speech and language disorders in the pediatric population.

- Previous experience working with autistic children and children ages 0-5 strongly preferred.

- Previous experience or knowledge of dyslexia/literacy intervention is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assessment and Diagnosis:

- Conduct assessments to diagnose speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.

- Use standardized tests, observations, and interviews to evaluate patients' needs.

Treatment Planning:

- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.

- Set specific, measurable goals for each patient.

- Adapt treatment plans as necessary to meet changing needs.

Therapy Implementation:

- Provide direct speech and language therapy services.

- Utilize evidence-based practices to deliver effective interventions.

- Employ a variety of techniques and tools to engage patients in sessions.

Progress Monitoring:

- Track and document patient progress towards therapy goals.

- Regularly update treatment plans based on patient progress.

- Provide feedback to patients and families on progress and areas needing improvement.

Collaboration:

- Work closely with families, caregivers, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to support patient progress.

Professional Development:

- Stay current with advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.

- Participate in continuing education opportunities to enhance therapy skills and knowledge.

Compliance:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.

- Write reports and maintain proper documentation of information, such as client Medicaid or billing records or caseload activities, including the initial evaluation, treatment, progress, and discharge of clients; adhere to ethical standards and professional guidelines set forth by the American Speech-Language- Hearing Association (ASHA).
