Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Investment Pricing Analyst to support investment pricing and valuation processes within a financial services environment. This 12-month contract role is based in Everett, MA with a hybrid schedule (4 days onsite). The position focuses on validating vendor pricing, analyzing valuation exceptions, and supporting corporate actions-related pricing adjustments. Key Responsibilities:
Pricing Validation: Review and validate prices received from external vendors, ensuring accuracy across investment portfolios
Exception Management: Investigate pricing exceptions including missing prices and day-over-day tolerance breaks
Corporate Actions Support: Analyze and validate manually calculated valuations related to corporate actions
Data Analysis: Run and interpret reports from internal systems to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate valuations
Escalation & Resolution: Identify issues, perform root cause analysis, and escalate discrepancies when necessary
Reporting Ownership: Progress from supporting report reviews to owning pricing and valuation reports independently
Collaboration: Work closely with team members to review outputs and maintain a “doer-checker” control environment
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field
1–2+ years of relevant experience in financial services, pricing, or valuation (internships or coursework considered)
Strong critical thinking skills and ability to understand complex financial concepts
Ability to learn quickly and interpret financial data and reports
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies
Preferred Experience:
Exposure to corporate actions and their impact on investment valuation
Experience pricing or valuing financial instruments (equities, fixed income, etc.)
Familiarity with tools such as Bloomberg Terminal or Aladdin
Background in fund accounting, investment operations, or similar environments
Understanding of financial markets and investment products
