Country Head – USA (President / General Manager) – Industrial Capital Equipment A fast-growing global industrial automation and metal-cutting equipment manufacturer is building its fully owned USA business from the ground up. We are looking for a Country Head – USA (President / General Manager) to lead this zero-to-one build. This is a full P&L leadership mandate. You will design the organisation, build the team and own revenue, margin, service and cash for the US business. The role is about organisation building, discipline, execution and long-term growth – not just sales. What you will lead
Full USA P&L: revenue, gross margin, pricing, cost and working capital, with clear annual and quarterly business plans.
Organisation build-out: hire and develop regional leaders and build integrated Sales, Applications, Service and Operations teams across key US manufacturing hubs.
Go-to-market: design and execute a direct-sales-led strategy, drive territory expansion and personally anchor strategic customer and key account relationships.
Operations and service: ensure strong coordination between tech centres and warehouse, high uptime, fast response and a reliable installed-base experience.
Governance: run weekly, monthly and quarterly reviews and report transparently to global leadership on performance and execution against plan.
What success looks like
US revenue growth in line with agreed plans, with strong funnel and forecast discipline.
Healthy gross margins and tight discount control.
High customer satisfaction driven by uptime, service quality and reliable support.
A high-calibre, multi-function field organisation built, retained and productive at the right cost.
What you bring
18–25 years of experience in metal-cutting / industrial capital equipment, automation or adjacent precision manufacturing segments.
Proven track record of building or scaling a business, territory or P&L in the United States, not just managing an inherited book.
Demonstrated P&L ownership – revenue, margin, pricing, cost and working capital.
Strong team-building experience across sales, applications and service.
A genuine service mindset in capital equipment environments.
Comfort operating in a founder-led, entrepreneurial environment with high empowerment and clear accountability.
A bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business is required; an MBA is an advantage but not mandatory.
The role is US-based, with a preference for leaders located near major manufacturing hubs and willing to travel frequently within the country. Compensation includes a base in the range of USD 180,000 – 250,000 plus performance-linked variable, with a long-term incentive structure under design. If this sounds like your next build mandate, you can indicate interest by sharing your profile and a brief note on your US build and P&L experience.
