Overview
Under the direct supervision of the of Pharmacy technician manager, fills routine orders for inpatients, delivers routine and stat medications in a timely manner. Works in a variety of settings depending on the needs of the department. Completion of PTCB certification and sterile compounding online certification required for transfer to Tech II.
Responsibilities
  • Accurately fill medication orders for patients
  • Restocking of automated dispensing cabinets
  • Expiration audits and sign off of hospital areas as assigned
  • Inventory management of stock
  • Computer knowledge of systems assigned for position
  • Pharmacy environment cleanliness

Qualifications
  • 1 year hospital experience preferred or other relevant experience as a medical technician
  • H.S. diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with no more than 3 moving violations
