The Area Manager (AM) owns a defined geographic territory and is responsible for driving profitable revenue growth across pumps, parts, systems, and service; manage a balanced portfolio of resellers, service providers and end-user accounts; and maintain a disciplined, high-quality pipeline that consistently exceeds sales performance goals. Success requires strategic territory planning, structured account development, and a high level of accountability to top-line revenue, volume, margin, and execution. The AM acts as a trusted advisor; leveraging technical knowledge, market insight, and value-based selling to expand market share and strengthen Becker’s position. This includes proactive price-increase discussions, leading with data, and ensuring Becker’s standards are upheld across authorized repair centers. Responsibilities Territory & Account Management
Own and drive growth within a defined geographic territory.
Maintain a balanced portfolio of resellers, service providers and end-user accounts.
Develop and execute annual business plans aligned with volume, margin, and market share-growth objectives.
Identify, qualify and convert closed won target accounts through structured prospecting and disciplined follow-up.
Sales Execution & Revenue Growth
Achieve and exceed revenue and profitability goals across pumps, parts, systems, and service offerings.
Manage and grow a healthy sales pipeline; maintain accurate updates, activities, and forecasts in Salesforce.
Prepare, present and follow up on quotes with urgency and professionalism, driving high conversion rates.
Apply pricing and discount strategies effectively, protecting margins and reinforcing value.
Account Management and Development
Expand national account relationships and identify new opportunities.
Recruit, develop, and motivate resellers and distributors to strengthen coverage and volume.
Support end users with application knowledge, solutions, and technical guidance.
Manage authorized repair centers to Becker’s standards of service, responsiveness, and brand representation.
Customer Engagement & Technical Support
Deliver a high-level customer experience grounded in responsiveness, preparation, and solution-based thinking.
Provide application support, product recommendations, and technical guidance.
Internal Collaboration & Compliance
Maintain accurate and timely records in Salesforce (contacts, activities, quotes, opportunities, account status, and potential).
Strengthen alignment with internal teams across customer service, technical, operations, and marketing.
Follow all corporate policies, administrative requirements, and communication expectations.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
3–5+ years of experience in industrial, mechanical, or technical sales (preferred)
Strong territory-management, account-planning, and pipeline-development capabilities
Proven ability to drive profitable growth and protect margin
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, and relevant business software
High degree of professionalism, accountability, and self-management
Ability to travel up to approximately 30%
