Summary The Research & Development Engineer Apprentice supports engineering and testing activities while developing the technical skills required to progress into a full R&D Engineer role. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, this role is designed for individuals who are self-motivated, solution-oriented, and eager to grow their skillset in a hands-on aerospace environment. The Apprentice will work closely with engineers and technicians to support prototype development, testing, and process improvement while building proficiency in engineering concepts and problem-solving techniques, with a clear path to advancement. Essential Functions
Assist in the development of new processes, technologies, and products under guidance of senior engineers
Support prototype builds, test samples, and conceptual process development
Assist with troubleshooting issues related to processes, equipment, and testing
Help prepare test plans, procedures, and reports with direction from senior team members
Learn and apply knowledge of materials, processes, and equipment for production integration
Review and interpret engineering drawings, test plans, and reports
Support R&D Engineers and Technicians in daily project and testing activities
Participate in team, customer, and project meetings as required
Follow safety protocols and maintain proper use of equipment in all environments
Manage multiple tasks while developing time management and prioritization skills
