Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing physical therapy services, programs, and activities
Interpret physical therapy policies and procedures to personnel, residents, family members, and others as necessary
Participate in discharge planning, development, and implementation of resident care plans, resident assessments, and individual restorative programs
Initiate and implement individual restorative programs for residents in conjunction with their plan of care
Brief residents on procedures involved in physical therapy and prepare necessary equipment
Reassure residents before and during therapy treatment
Be alert to resident's response to treatment and notify the therapist immediately for assistance as needed
Demonstrate to residents and nursing personnel, as necessary, the use of medical appliances involved in physical therapy
Create an environment and culture that enables the facility to fulfill its mission
Document changes and follow up on condition
Qualifications:
Graduate of School of Physical Therapy Assistant
Minimum of three months recent experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant working in a nursing home environment preferred
State of Florida Physical Therapy Assistant License
CPR Certification
