Job Description Summary CWT Farms International Hatchery Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hatchery, ensuring all processes are executed efficiently, safely, and in alignment with company standards. This role provides direct supervision of hatchery staff, supports production goals, and maintains quality control across all operational areas. The Hatchery Supervisor reports to the Assistant Hatchery Manager and ensures consistency, accountability, and performance on the production floor. The Hatchery Supervisor also makes sure to handle operational reporting, and proper use of internal systems such as Amino. Job Description
Supervise daily hatchery operations including processing, egg room, transfer, and sanitation.
Assign and monitor employee tasks to ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule
Ensure strict adherence to company SOPs, biosecurity, and safety protocols
Monitor chick quality and identify issues such as injuries, defects, or inconsistencies
Provide hands-on training, coaching, and support to hatchery staff
Track and address attendance, productivity, and performance concerns
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment across all areas
Accurately enter, review, and verify production data in the Amino (MTech) system
Monitor inventory, transfers, and hatch data for accuracy and consistency
Identify discrepancies and take corrective action or escalate as needed
Ensure all entries are completed in a timely and accurate manner
Support troubleshooting and corrections within the system as directed Communicate daily operational updates, issues, and performance metrics to the Assistant Manager
Follow direction from the Hatchery Assistant Manager and Director and execute assigned priorities
Coordinate with maintenance and other departments to resolve operational issues
Ensure clear shift-to-shift communication and documentation Support the Assistant Manager in enforcing policies and operational standards
Address day-to-day employee issues and escalate when appropriate
Assist with audits, inspections, and compliance requirements
Support continuous improvement efforts to increase efficiency and reduce errors
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
3+ years of hatchery, poultry, or related production experience preferred
Previous leadership or supervisory experience required
Strong understanding of hatchery operations and sanitation practices
Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to lead, train, and hold employees accountable
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while monitoring hatchery operations.
Ability to work in hatchery environments including humidity, noise, and sanitation areas.
Ability to lift trays, equipment, or materials when necessary.
Ability to move between office and hatchery production areas as needed.
