Job Description
Join Averest as a Field Service Technician and play a hands-on role in powering the future of aviation. You’ll work directly on high-performance battery and charging systems used in electric ground support equipment at major airports across North America.
This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys problem-solving in the field, working with advanced electrical systems, and being part of a team driving the transition to zero-emissions infrastructure.
Prior experience with industrial battery or charging systems is a plus but not required—we provide hands-on training for candidates with strong electrical fundamentals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical and system issues on GSE charging equipment in real-world airport environments
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on industrial lead-acid and lithium batteries to ensure reliability and uptime of critical equipment
  • Document service activities clearly to support operational visibility and customer success using NetSuite and Microsoft Office tools


Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
  • Electrical troubleshooting and schematic reading
  • Experience with high-power systems (batteries, chargers, or similar)
  • Use of diagnostic tools (multimeters, etc.)

Work Style
  • Self-directed and dependable in field environments
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills

Physical & Travel
  • Able to perform hands-on work and lift equipment as needed
  • Travel approximately 75% of the time to major airports across the U.S. and Canada, typically in multi-day trips.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification preferred
  • Completion of OSHA Electrical Safety, Lockout/Tagout, or Arc Flash Training is a plus

Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts
Work Location: Dallas, TX with approximately 75% of your time travelling
