Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Dietitian (RD) to join our team! The RD is responsible for assessing residents’ nutritional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. This role plays a vital part in promoting resident health, recovery, and overall quality of life.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in dietetics or a related program approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) credential required (CDR)
  • Currently meet licensure or certification per State requirements. Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment.
  • Two (2) years’ experience in a health care facility. Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
  • Strong knowledge of clinical nutrition, dietary regulations, and documentation standards
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Prior experience in nutritional assessment and planning

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete comprehensive nutritional assessments for all residents
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized nutrition care plans
  • Monitor residents’ progress and adjust interventions as needed
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal care
  • Provide nutrition education and counseling to residents, families, and staff
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Participate in care plan meetings and quality improvement initiatives
  • Conduct audits and maintain accurate, timely documentation
