Aventura at the Bay is seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resources Director to lead HR operations for our skilled nursing and assisted living community. This key leadership role is responsible for driving recruitment, employee engagement, compliance, and HR strategy to support exceptional resident care.

Position Summary
The HR Director oversees all aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and regulatory compliance. This role partners closely with leadership to foster a positive workplace culture and ensure staffing excellence across all departments.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of HR leadership/management experience, preferably in healthcare or long-term care
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and regulatory compliance
  • Experience in skilled nursing or assisted living preferred
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts to attract and retain top talent
  • Manage onboarding, orientation, and employee engagement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and healthcare regulations
  • Oversee employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution
  • Administer benefits, payroll coordination, and HRIS systems
  • Support department heads with staffing strategies and workforce planning
  • Maintain personnel records and ensure audit readiness
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and excellence
