About the role

Description:
Atalan is the first Clinician Retention Intelligence (CRI) platform, helping health systems predict and prevent surprise clinician resignations up to 12 months in advance. We're funded, scaling fast, and adding a Key Account Manager to our growing team.
This role reports to the CEO and works closely with Product, Sales, and company leadership.
We're looking for a strategic, relationship-driven operator who can manage complex enterprise healthcare accounts, engage confidently at the executive level, and drive implementation, adoption, and renewal outcomes with urgency. You thrive in fast-paced environments, build trust through execution, and take ownership seriously.
Atalan is at a pivotal stage of growth. The KAM who joins now will shape both the client experience and the future of our client success function.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Implementation: Lead structured onboarding for new health system clients; coordinate cross-functional handoffs and ensure clients are set up for success from day one
  • Ongoing Relationship Management: Serve as the strategic partner for executive, operational, and clinical stakeholders (CNOs, COOs, CHROs, CMOs); drive QBRs, business reviews, and regular touchpoints
  • Adoption: Monitor platform utilization and proactively drive engagement across stakeholder groups to ensure clients are realizing full value
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product and Business Development teams to advocate for client needs and ensure seamless internal coordination
  • Renewals & Retention: Own the renewal cycle for your book of business; identify risk early and resolve it before it becomes a conversation

Requirements:
  • 3+ years in a CSM, Account Manager, or Key Account Manager role in B2B SaaS/AI
  • Experience managing a $5M- $10M book of business
  • SaaS experience in healthcare technology or AI analytics platforms strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise accounts; you know how to multi-thread across executive, operational, and clinical audiences
  • Demonstrated experience navigating large health systems and building long-term strategic partnerships
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills; your clients always know where things stand
  • Hands-on executor who can also operate at the strategic level
  • Remote-ready with the ability to travel to client sites as needed
  • Based on the East Coast or the Midwest (preferred)

How you’ll be held accountable:
  • NRR %
  • Implementation timelines - hitting the go-live goal
  • QBR completion rate - % of accounts receiving a QBR on schedule (quarterly)
  • Time-to-value - how quickly clients hit their first meaningful outcome post-implementation
  • Executive stakeholder coverage - are you multi-threaded into each account (not single-threaded to one contact)
  • Platform adoption/utilization- % of users actively using the platform
  • NPS - client satisfaction scores tied to your accounts
  • At-risk account identification - are you flagging churn risk early enough to act on it
