Organization Overview: The Association for Infant Mental Health in Hawaiʻi (AIMH HI) is a 501(c)3 whose mission is to nurture the emotional health and resiliency of Hawai‘i’s keiki by growing a network of professionals and a system of care that is founded upon infant and early childhood mental health practices. Position Overview: AIMH HI is seeking to hire its first People & Operations Manager. This position plays a key role in supporting the organization’s internal operations, employee experience, and organizational infrastructure. Working closely with the Executive Director, this position leads the development and management of people operations and administrative systems that support a positive workplace culture, operational consistency, and organizational effectiveness.
Primary Responsibilities: The People & Operations Manager’s key responsibilities include recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, handbook and policy administration, performance management processes, HR compliance, fiscal oversight, and administrative operations. This role is ideal for a proactive and organized professional who enjoys building systems, improving processes, and helping mission-driven organizations grow sustainably.
Work Schedule: Normal Business Hours are Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm with a one-hour lunch break. Must be able to work evenings and weekends with advance notice. This full-time position is eligible for company benefits, observed holidays and will accrue paid time off.
Work Environment While this position does not report to a dedicated office, the People & Operations Manager must attend in-person trainings, meetings, workgroups, and conferences. Travel may include visits to other islands. AIMH HI will provide a computer and other office supplies. The People & Operations Manager will need a dedicated workspace in their home that is free of distractions, in which they can adequately perform their job duties that include stable and reliable internet connection and the ability to have confidential meetings. Required Qualifications Skills/Knowledge:• Knowledge of general human resources practices, employment laws, and workplace compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of administrative operations, office management, and organizational systems.
• Knowledge of fiscal practices and fiscal compliance.
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to build, implement, and improve operational processes and workflows
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to foster a positive workplace culture.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field Experience:• Three (3) to five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in operations, administration, human resources, office management, or organizational support roles.
• Experience developing or improving organizational systems, processes, policies, or administrative workflows.
Preferred Qualifications:• Experience supporting employee onboarding and recruitment

• Licenses/certification: Certificate in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or Operations Management.
Compensation $82,500-85,000 annual salary. Actual compensation of salary will be based on education and experience.
Essential Duties People Operations & Human Resources:• Maintain, interpret, and update employee handbook, policies, and personnel records, and HR procedures in alignment with organizational needs and employment law best practices.
• Support and advise management on employee relations, performance management, corrective action and staff development efforts.
• Monitor and support HR compliance with applicable federal and state employment laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
• Support benefit administration and serve as liaison with HR-related vendors.
Fiscal Oversight:• Maintain and improve fiscal processes in coordination with Executive Director, fractional Chief Financial Officer, and accounting firm.
• Oversee monthly financial and administrative processes, including compliance, reporting coordination and operational efficiency.
• Supervise, support and provide direction to Fiscal Assistant.
Operations & Administration:• Develop and improve internal administrative systems and workflows, and operational procedures.
• Support organizational planning, documentation, policy implementation, and process consistency.
• Assist with operational coordination across programs and staff.
• Maintain organizational records and administrative procedures.
• Analyze operational needs, recommend and implement solutions to improve operational and organizational efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability.
Organizational Support:• Serve as a collaborative operational and strategic partner to the Executive Director.
• Help foster a positive, supportive, compliant and accountable workplace culture.
• Support organizational growth through scalable systems and processes.
• Participate in organizational planning, cross-functional initiatives, and continuous improvement eiorts.
• Contribute to special projects and organizational initiatives as needed. Performs other related duties as required.
