Reports To: Director of Technology Services & Support
Summary Description : The Conferencing Technician is a key member of the Conferencing Team. Trusted to ensure client meetings run smoothly via video Conferencing as well as high-end corporate events. The Conferencing Technician will, as needed, assist the Technical Support Team
Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Operates Hardware and Software video Conferencing platforms to assist with administration maintenance
  • Operates Zoom presentations and sets up live streaming events
  • Trains staff in all locations on conferencing equipment operations
  • Provides A/V and conferencing support at meetings and teleconferencing events
  • Assists in the repair, preventative maintenance and updating of conferencing equipment
  • Inspects and maintains functionality of Conferencing installations and resolves technical problems as they arise
  • Provides customer service and IT support to office guests and employees specifically in the client center space
  • Coordinates with designated contacts in outlying offices regarding the setup of conference rooms for audio, video, and web conferences
  • Monitors the daily Conferencing conference room schedule and contacts users to determine their Conferencing requirements prior to each scheduled meeting
  • Assists and participates in implementing and planning Conferencing projects. Make recommendations to IT Management regarding new products that could enhance the Firms’ conference systems

Additional Functions (as needed):
  • Provides Tier II support, assisting the Technical Support team with troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of PC’s and installed applications.
  • Supports firm personnel with troubleshooting technical problems both remotely and in person
  • Assists with the removal and prevention of viruses on firm equipment
  • Assists with the installation of new computers and printers
  • Assists with the relocation of computers and printers as needed
  • Assists with software installation and upgrades.

Position Competencies:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Required Experience: 3+ years’ relevant experience in Audio-Visual technologies required, preferably in a professional services environment; Working knowledge of audio and video editing; 1+ years of Desktop/Technical Support
  • Preferred Experience: Cisco Conferencing, Zoom Room, WebEx Hub, Teams, Windows 11

Supervisory Responsibilities : N/A
Physical Activity : The employee will be required to sit for prolonged periods and work on a computer. The employee must also have the ability to lift and carry 25-35 pounds.
Travel Required: 15% (3-4 times a year)
