AZ STEAM Academy Microschool is a K-12 private educational program based in Sierra Vista, Arizona, designed for creative, intuitive, and neurodivergent learners. With a mastery-based, self-paced approach inspired by the Modern Classrooms Project model, the academy creates a hands-on learning environment focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM). By emphasizing curiosity and personalization, the academy empowers students to thrive and shape their own educational journeys. The school is dedicated to turning “Learning into an Adventure” and supporting students who benefit from non-traditional learning experiences.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Co-Founder role based in Sierra Vista, AZ. The Co-Founder will collaborate in shaping the strategic vision and operational plan for the academy, working directly on developing programs, creating partnerships, driving enrollment, and managing day-to-day school activities. Responsibilities include overseeing curriculum development, leading marketing and outreach efforts, managing staff and resources, and maintaining strong communication with stakeholders. The Co-Founder will play a key leadership role in fostering an inclusive and innovative educational environment tailored to students’ diverse needs.

Qualifications
- Strong Analytical and Research skills to support data-driven decision-making and program development
- Exceptional Communication skills to effectively engage with educators, parents, students, and community stakeholders
- Experience in Sales and Marketing to drive enrollment, develop partnerships, and promote the academy’s mission
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills in managing educational programs or small businesses
- A genuine passion for innovative and inclusive education, particularly for neurodivergent learners
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Management, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus)
- Experience in a startup environment or non-traditional educational settings is advantageous
