Electrical Engineering Expert (AI Training) About The Role We're looking for experienced electrical engineers to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models. Your deep technical knowledge will directly shape how AI reasons through complex engineering problems — from circuit analysis to power systems — making a real impact on the future of intelligent technology. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role designed to fit around your existing schedule.
Organization: Alignerr
Type: Hourly Contract
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
Design Technical Challenges — Craft advanced electrical engineering problems across domains like circuit analysis, power systems, signal processing, and electromagnetics to rigorously test AI performance
Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Develop precise, step-by-step solutions and benchmark responses that AI systems use as the gold standard for learning
Audit AI Outputs — Evaluate AI-generated code, circuit diagrams, and mathematical proofs for technical accuracy, safety, and compliance with engineering standards (IEEE, NEC, and others)
Improve AI Reasoning — Identify logical errors and flawed assumptions in AI-generated engineering reasoning, then provide structured, actionable feedback to improve model performance
Stress-Test Model Limits — Probe AI systems on topics like embedded systems, control systems, VLSI, and simulations to expose failure modes and help harden model reasoning
Who You Are
Currently pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field
Strong foundational expertise in one or more core domains — VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, power electronics, or similar
Able to communicate highly technical concepts clearly and concisely in written English
Exceptionally precise when working with mathematical equations, circuit logic, and technical documentation
Self-directed and comfortable working asynchronously on your own schedule
No prior AI or machine learning experience required
Nice to Have
Experience with data annotation, technical writing, or quality evaluation systems
Familiarity with engineering simulation tools or hardware description languages
Background in reviewing or authoring technical documentation to professional standards
Why Join Us
