Development Economist (AI Training) About The Role We're looking for experienced development economists to help shape how AI understands global and development economics. What You'll Do
Review and evaluate development economics questions, answers, and explanations used in AI training datasets
Assess the quality of economic reasoning related to growth, poverty, inequality, trade, and global development
Provide structured, expert feedback to improve factual accuracy and contextual nuance
Validate real-world and hypothetical economic scenarios using your academic or field experience
Work independently and asynchronously to complete task-based assignments on your own schedule
Who You Are
3+ years of experience teaching, researching, or working in development economics
Strong grasp of global economic issues, development theory, and data interpretation
Able to critically evaluate written economic reasoning and identify gaps or errors
Comfortable working with structured review and annotation tasks
Self-motivated and reliable in a remote, async environment
Nice to Have
Graduate degree in Economics or a closely related field
Experience in field research, NGO work, or international economic policy
Familiarity with AI systems, content evaluation, or data annotation workflows
