What You'll Do
Design advanced chemistry problems spanning areas such as organic chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, thermodynamics, and more
Develop rigorous, step-by-step solutions that demonstrate expert-level reasoning and logical precision
Evaluate AI-generated responses for scientific accuracy, depth of reasoning, and quality of explanation
Identify gaps, errors, and weaknesses in AI outputs and provide structured, actionable feedback
Collaborate with researchers to build and refine benchmarks across undergraduate to PhD-level chemistry topics
Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule
Who You Are
Pursuing or holding a PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a closely related field
Strong problem-solving skills across advanced chemistry domains with the ability to reason from first principles
Able to communicate complex scientific ideas clearly and precisely in writing
Naturally detail-oriented — you notice when reasoning is flawed, incomplete, or imprecise
Self-motivated and reliable when working independently
No prior AI or machine learning experience required
Nice to Have
Experience in data annotation, data quality assessment, or evaluation systems
Background in academic research, curriculum development, or scientific writing
Familiarity with AI tools or language model evaluation workflows
Expertise spanning multiple chemistry subfields
