Alexander Nurseries specializes in providing high-quality design, maintenance, and installation services for both commercial and residential landscapes. Located in the San Francisco Bay Area, we operate two private nurseries where we grow a wide variety of specialty crops. Our offerings include over 300 varieties of rare and prized roses.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Gardener, based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Gardener will normally work four 10 hour days a week. Daily tasks include checking the schedule, loading up equipment, driving to clients, assessment and testing of irrigation, landscape maintenance, and clean up. Installation days include moving heavy material with care, reading plan view documents and recording changes made to the properties. This position demands an understanding of plant care and an appreciation for creating and maintaining visually stunning outdoor spaces.

Qualifications
- Experience with Gardening and Landscape Maintenance
- Ability to safely lift 50 pounds
- Knowledge of Irrigation systems and their maintenance
- Must be highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work physically outdoors in various weather conditions
- Passion for plants, especially specialty crops and roses
- Previous experience in a similar role is an asset
