We are seeking a skilled Powertrain Calibration Engineer to join our automotive engineering team in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Perform calibration and optimization of powertrain control systems for engine and transmission applications
Utilize ETAS, INCA, and other calibration tools for ECU tuning, data monitoring, and software flashing
Analyze and validate calibration data to improve drivability, performance, fuel economy, and emissions
Support development and testing of control algorithms using MATLAB, Simulink, and embedded C code
Conduct vehicle and dyno testing under various operating conditions
Troubleshoot calibration issues and collaborate with software, controls, and validation teams
Ensure compliance with performance and regulatory standards
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in powertrain calibration or related automotive engineering role
Strong knowledge of ETAS, INCA, and powertrain calibration tools
Understanding of powertrain control systems
Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, and/or C code
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering
Strong analytical, testing, and problem-solving skills
