**Your challenges:**

-  Accountable for design engineering activities in the aircraft systems (Aircraft Control & Monitoring, Avionics, power & Mechanical systems, Powerplant).

-  Creation and authorization of technical solutions including justification reports for repairs, reworks or design updates. Standard repairs are approved autonomously, major repairs if required with the support of the transnational Airbus Engineering departments (design, stress, fatigue, aerodynamics, material etc.)

-  Define technical solutions during NC treatment for metallic and composite structures comprising the complete primary / secondary aircraft structure (all Airframe ATA chapters linked to structure design).

-  Accountability for the given approved repair, rework, and troubleshooting instruction as well as for design update solutions in front of the corresponding design/stress office and authorities (TC/FAA).

-  Represent and act in the name of the Chief Engineering and the design offices of AIRBUS (by delegation) as well as design to build suppliers.

-  Act as an interface between the A220 Family Chief Engineer/ Design office and the Manufacturing/ Quality assurance (Operations).

-  Provide engineering support to the FAL US during the complete manufacturing process from the delivery of the sections, FAL and flightline activities, up to the aircraft ferry flight in all structure related items including engineering presentations in front of the customers (internal and external).

-  Create, approve, and authorize temporary aircraft definitions (special instructions) in line with design and airworthiness requirements for testing purposes.

-  Create, approve and monitor design corrective actions / improvements and preventive measures (launch of new modifications, drawing updates, design query notes) driving product improvements or non-conformity eradication.

-  Present technical explanations/corrective actions to the flight test department and to the customer if required (internal and external customers).

-  Perform other duties as assigned and adapted to the FAL requirements.

-  Assigns, coordinates and reviews the technical work of the mentee

- Non-conformities (NC's) are written by the production/quality departments or Flight Test Engineers, if they detect any deviations/damages during the assembly process, inspection or production flights.

As part of the Certification Team, the Certification Engineer is responsible for all airworthiness tasks related to the activities and products delivered by the Customer Service business and Airbus Delivery Center . This covers single aisle individual aircraft certification for Airbus commercial program and customer requested in-service repairs and optional upgrades for all Airbus commercial aircraft programs and a wide range of system and operational subjects.

Primary Responsibilities:

Manage Certification

- Lead and conduct the airworthiness approvals of Airbus products and product changes with the certificating Authority, and validation of these approvals by the importing countries' Authorities.

- Manage a varied, multi-ATA and multi-program, subject workload in accordance with Customer Services' sometimes challenging business needs and customers' expectations, while ensuring conformity with certification requirements and DOA processes.

- Ensure good communication and exchange with other members of the global Certification Team , Customer Aircraft Delivery Team and other certification functions to ensure consistency in the Way of Working and certification approach ("Speak One Voice").

- Consult, and sometimes challenge, Technical, Change Management, and Certification Specialists to ensure appropriate solutions, particularly to account for the variety of in-service aircraft configurations and single aisle individual aircraft certification to maintain strong competence across this wide domain.

Airworthiness Approvals

- Perform airworthiness approvals in accordance with Airbus Design Organization Approval (DOA) privileges:

- Modification (MOD) approval for change to Type Certificate (TC) classified minor or Certain Major Change (CMC)

- Service Bulletin (SB) approval and airworthiness release

- Repair & Design Approval Form (RDAF) approval

-  Aircraft Design Declaration (ADD) approval and airworthiness release.

Authority Interfacing

-  Act as an interface to Airworthiness authorities for all aspects of certification activities.

Continuing Airworthiness

-  Support acceptance of individual aircraft by customers and their local authorities.

The Director, Operations Integration Leader is a critical strategic role supporting the Operations Senior Director by ensuring seamless integration of support functions and fostering robust collaboration across the MFT. - Supports the Operations Senior Director by integrating support functions and fostering strategic collaboration across the Multi-Functional Team (MFT) to drive overall operational excellence.

- Is accountable for proactive risk management, including identification via tools like ARM and ensuring the successful completion of change plans to mitigate operational risks.

- Drives operational efficiency and continuous improvement through the effective operation and enhancement of the business management system, ensuring strong performance across all SQCDP (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People) areas.
