About The Role
The Technical Writer will prepare Functional Design Documents for customer projects using customer specifications, mechanical drawings, and electrical drawings. This role involves approximately 90% content writing and 10% mechanical/electrical drawing interpretation. The Technical Writer will also create checklists to support project quality and compliance.
What You'll Do
  • Develop and maintain Functional Design Documents (FDD) for complex systems.
  • Interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and integrate them into documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure technical accuracy and compliance.
  • Create and manage checklists for quality assurance and project standards.
  • Utilize tools such as Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Suite for documentation.
  • Ensure timely delivery of documentation aligned with project schedules.

Qualifications
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude; ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Expertise in FDD development and technical writing for automation systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Suite; familiarity with CAD viewers.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing tight timelines.
