**Job Description**

**AECOM ** is seeking a highly motivated **Biologist II ** for immediate employment within our Southern California Natural Resources Group. This hybrid position will be based in our San Diego, CA office.

The primary focus of this role is as a Lead Environmental Inspector, monitoring environmental compliance for construction associated with a Project in Riverside County, CA. A strong background in wildlife biology and/or botany with knowledge of Southern California species is desired. Primary duties include providing oversight of construction to ensure environmental compliance and preparing required reports and documentation. Other duties may include being a primary author on complex technical documents, analyzing historical studies and data, synthesizing compiled datasets, collaborating with a large team of technical experts, and providing project management support.

**Note that this position is a project-specific hire with expected contract date through January 2027 (but is dependent on client authorization of contracted work and contingent on contract terms and conditions). - Perform assignments requiring interpretation and application of federal, State, and local environmental regulations. The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in ambient air monitoring, air quality assessments, and air quality modeling, and will serve as a technical leader supporting complex projects for public- and private-sector clients. **AECOM ** is seeking a **Safety, Health & Environment Site Officer I ** to support various project sites located within the NYC Metropolitan area. The Safety, Health & Environment Site Officer I will support Construction Management teams working on projects at wastewater recovery facilities.

Under the supervision of the project Safety, Health and Environment Manager the responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

- Assist in implementing the requirements of AECOM’s Construction Manager’s (CM) EHS Management Plan (EHSMP) and Environmental Health and Safety Plan (EHASP).

- Support the CM in preparation of Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) in accordance with Client standards.

- Support the CM in conducting various training for CM staff including new employee orientations, visitor orientations and Emergency Action Plan training.

- Assist in the technical review of all EHS related submittals by the Contractors, including, but not limited to, EHASPs, JHAs, EAPs, monthly reports, asbestos/lead/mercury/PCB management and sampling plans, waste management plans, soil re-use, hazardous waste contingency plans, erosion and sediment control plans, and Stormwater Pollution Prevent Plans (SWPPP) to verify comprehensive oversight of all site activities.

- Facilitate weekly EHS meetings with the Contractor’s EHS Representative (EHSR), and other project management personnel as appropriate, to ascertain and discuss upcoming construction related activity EHS activities.

- Conduct frequent construction site visits to monitor Contractor’s EHS performance.

- Track and monitor the Contractor’s compliance with EHASP(s) and JHA(s).

- Track and monitor all site EHSRs’ performance including, but not limited to, reviewing the EHSR’s daily reports and whether EHS issues are being adequately addressed.

- Perform and submit daily reports of the Contractor’s Work areas and document non-compliance with the Contractor’s EHASPs and JHAs.

- Review Contractor’s incident reports for adequacy, participate in meetings related to construction related incidents, and verify all necessary Contractor corrective actions are implemented.

- Submit EHS monthly status reports and metrics. Prepare monthly trending analysis of Contractor EHS performance.

- Oversee Emergency Action Plans (EAPs) and drills for the site in coordination with Client staff.

- Review and manage all EHS Annual Reports (i.e., EPCRA, Hazardous Waste, Confined Space).

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

- Review sponsor plans, contractor submissions, and calculations for Railroad impacts and constructability.

- Conduct 2-3 days/week of on-site monitoring for compliance with Railroad requirements.

**AECOM ** is actively seeking an Entry-Level Civil Engineer to join our well-established department Remediation business line. The Remediation Business Line focuses primarily on providing professional and technical services in engineering design, code consultation, and construction phase services for a wide variety of clients both in the private and public sectors.

AECOM is seeking an experienced and motivated full-time **Human Health and/or Ecological Risk Assessor ** to become an integrated member of AECOM’s risk assessment and remediation practices. The candidate will work primarily with the Charlotte, NC risk assessment team as well as assist other risk teams in the U.S. and globally. The candidate will perform both small- and large-scale risk assessments for federal and commercial/industrial clients in accordance with CERCLA, RCRA, and state level risk assessment guidance. The physical location of the position is negotiable. The employee will report to the Charlotte office; but may be full-time in office, full-time remote, or hybrid, depending on the candidate. The candidate is expected to begin immediately.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

- Supporting a wide range of projects for private and government clients throughout the U.S. (and internationally).

- Performing human health risk assessments in accordance with regulatory guidance and project-specific work plans.

- Developing Risk Assessment Work Plans and contributing to Sampling and Analysis Plans/Quality Assurance Project Plans.

- Successfully coordinating with internal project teams, including delegating to junior staff.

- Preparing technical deliverables; including writing reports and performing/reviewing risk assessment calculations using R software.
