Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Leave of Absence Specialist position located in Costa Mesa, CA. The Leave of Absence Specialist will manage and administer leave programs including FMLA, CFRA, short-term and long-term disability, and other leave types, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies. Primary responsibilities include processing leave requests, maintaining accurate records, providing guidance to employees regarding leave policies, and collaborating with HR, payroll, and management to support employees’ needs. The specialist will also monitor leave trends, create reports, and recommend improvements to leave administration processes. Qualifications
Strong knowledge of leave administration policies, including FMLA, CFRA, and disability leave.
Experience with employee communication, including providing clear guidance on leave processes and policies.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain accurate records.
Proficiency in using HR systems for tracking leave and generating reports.
Analytical skills to monitor trends and provide recommendations for process improvements.
Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Certification in HR or Leave Administration (e.g., SHRM-CP, CPDM) is a plus.
