To learn more visit: www.swarm-basketball.com / www.threestep.com About The Position Job Title: Manager of Operations Employment Type: Full-time/Salaried Location: Hybrid with up to 3 days onsite at the home office in Woburn, MA / LOCAL candidates will only be considered Travel: During Tournament Season & Work evenings and weekends Position Overview Swarm Basketball and Gametime Tourneys are seeking a driven, adaptable, and highly organized full-time Regional Director & Assistant Tournament Director to support both sides of our basketball operations. This dual-role position blends club basketball leadership and sales with event and tournament operations. While this is a full-time role, the workload is seasonal in nature. During the club season, the primary focus will be on Regional Director responsibilities. As the club season progresses, the role will shift to support and prepare for Gametime Tourneys tournament and league operations. Key Responsibilities Regional Director – Swarm Basketball Responsibilities
Oversee and support regional club programs, including tryouts, teams, program directors and seasonal operations
Serve as a primary point of contact for families, coaches, and partners via phone and email
Drive program growth through outreach, relationship-building, and sales initiatives
Assist with player registration, retention, and customer experience
Coordinate logistics for tryouts, practices, games, and event
Track goals, timelines, and deliverables while managing multiple projects
Adapt to new systems and processes as the organization grows
Assistant Tournament Director – Gametime Tourneys Responsibilities
Support tournament and league operations including scheduling, staffing, logistics, and on-site execution
Act as on-site Site Director when needed
Manage court assignments, game flow, and event timelines
Assist with team registration, payments, and customer communication
Coordinate with venues and facilities
Recruit, schedule, and support part-time event staff
Resolve on-site issues professionally and efficiently
Required Qualifications
Experience working in youth sports
Basketball tournament or event operations experience preferred
Strong sales, customer service, and relationship management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities
Self-starter with the ability to work independently
Reliable transportation and ability to commute to Woburn, MA up to 3 times per week
Availability for weekends, evenings, and travel during tournament seasons
Preferred Skills & Attributes
Background in Sport Management, Business, Marketing, or related field
