**Job Description**

The Brand Strategist is responsible for bringing the company’s brand strategy initiatives to life across marketing channels, campaigns, internal communications, and customer touchpoints. This role helps track brand health metrics and develop recommendations for further improvement.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Brand Strategy, this role translates brand positioning and messaging frameworks into compelling marketing initiatives that strengthen brand awareness, consideration, and reputation.

-  Crafting and developing creative briefs

Role Description

This full-time, on-site role is located in Uptown New Orleans. Daily responsibilities include providing art direction, managing graphic design projects, developing branding and design solutions, and collaborating with editorial and marketing teams to ensure alignment with the brand's vision and goals.

The Creative Director will serve as the head graphic designer. This person will be in charge of the design and layout of the print publication and collaborate with the content posted to the website. It also includes the graphic design of print and online advertisements as needed. In addition, the Creative Director will work with the Publisher, Executive Editor, photographers, and artists to create the cover for each issue.

The position calls for someone to collaborate with the Executive Editor for the print publication and website. As Creative Director, this person would coordinate with the Executive Editor to work with existing writers to cull and develop story ideas. The Executive Editor would collect all editorial submissions from the writers and coordinate with the Creative Director and Copy Editor to prepare the layout for publishing.

The Creative Director will be asked to manage a pair of graphic design interns who assist in the day-to-day work of the publication. These graphic design interns assist in such things as creating e-blasts via MailChimp, website layout, obtaining images, taking photos, and the like. The Creative Director would work with a video intern in creating content for Where Y'at's social media channels and website.

The candidate must be well-organized and able to work towards future projects while prioritizing the task at-hand. The Creative Director will be required to work in-office Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, though be available to work additional hours as needed to prepare the publication for print. The Creative Director must be able to carry out many functions while able to work under pressure when unforeseen situations arise.

**Job Summary **

We’re looking for a Creative Strategist who can lead the full ad creative engine of Ramen Bae. This role is equal parts performance marketer and creative operator — someone who understands how to develop high-performing video ads, scale creative testing, and build a brand that people can’t help but talk about.

You’ll own creative strategy across all our performance channels, with Meta currently being our largest.

There is a lot of room for leadership and growth in this role, as we are a small team. This is a high-impact role for someone who loves combining data with creativity, and who thrives in the fast-moving world of ecommerce.

**Responsibilities **

Creative Strategy

- Lead data-informed creative strategies for all paid social, focusing on Meta but expanding into new channels.

- Build and manage a creative testing framework to inform strategy and scale learnings, including hooks, formats, scripts, and concepts.

- Ideate and validate audience personas, hooks, and content angles to break through to new customers.

- Own the pipeline of performance video assets—UGC, founder-led, product demos, ads with narrative arcs, recipe content, etc.

- Analyze performance data to identify patterns, winning angles, and emerging creative territories.

- Work closely with the CMO to scale creative that drives ROAS, CAC, and revenue.

Creative Production & Operations

- Manage production from concept → scripting → shooting → editing → delivery.

- Direct creators, editors, freelancers, agencies, and/or in-house team members.

- Build scalable systems for asset management, briefing, feedback, and iteration.

- Ensure high-quality visuals and consistent brand standards across everything we make.

**Requirements **

- 3-5+ years of experience in performance marketing including paid social creative for a DTC brand or at a performance creative agency (there is flexibility on years of experience; compensation will be aligned to experience)

- Deep experience in performance video—knowing what works, why it works, and how to make more of it

- Experience building a systematic process for generating high value concepts and delivering them on a regular cadence

- Strong creative instincts, copywriting ability, and visual taste.

- Strong collaborator with proven ability to develop and manage cross-functional workflows.

- High level of ownership and accountability

- Edit long form videos, promos, sizzles, interviews, and social content with clear narrative structure, strong pacing and rhythm, and a cinematic, stylish visual quality.

- Build and design motion graphics, animations, logo, patterns, and dynamic visual elements

- Handle color correction, audio mixing, sound design, and final delivery across platforms

- Own and elevate our media management ecosystem, from organization and naming conventions to archival systems, while pushing iconik to new levels of performance and capability

- Build and lead our post production tracking and workflow systems: defining procedures, partnering with the PM team, and acting as the finishing producer who ensures every project and asset is organized, monitored, and delivered with precision

- Help lead the adoption and implementation of AI tools to elevate our post production workflow and creative output

- Identify workflow bottlenecks and propose practical improvements

- Present ideas clearly to cross functional partners and represent the creative team when needed

- Take feedback well, iterate quickly, and stay flexible when priorities shift.

- Stay current on editing software, AI tools, export standards, color workflows, and emerging production technologies

- Collaborate with creative leadership to maintain a consistent visual language

- Ensure all content meets platform specific quality standards (compression, aspect ratios, LUTs, export settings, etc.)

- Support shoots when needed: basic lighting, cameras, on set media management

- Bring your own creative identity to the work; contribute ideas, challenge ours, and help push our content beyond what’s already out there

- A strong storyteller who can shape clear, engaging narratives

- Highly skilled in Adobe Creative Suite — especially Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Media Encoder — with interest or experience in DaVinci Resolve

- Deep understanding of post production workflows from ingest to delivery

This is an Exempt position. The expected pay range for this position is $104,700 – $131,000. You are eligible for an annual bonus compensation plan, terms and conditions apply. Chewy is looking for a **Video ****Content Director ** to join our in-house Studio creative team based in **Plantation, FL **. The studio is looking for an exceptional hands-on storyteller to work with our Marketing and Studio production teams to direct our at-scale content. From the hand-off of the creative brief, this visual storyteller will help oversee on-set content creation and collaborate with a dynamic team of creatives, producers, videographers, pet wranglers, photographers, as well as our art and post teams to get the job done. The ideal candidate will be collaborative, engaged, and have a passion for our industry as well as a desire to learn and create. You must be able to quickly adapt to unique production situations that support our e-commerce studio.

**What You'll Do**

- Direct a mix of complex, multi-channel marketing campaigns and lower-tiered, templated video projects in partnership with our Studio Production and Studio/Marketing creative teams.

- Participate in all stages of the video production process ensuring the creative concepts, visual direction and execution align to stakeholder briefs and Chewy Brand Guidelines

- Partner with creative team of Art Directors specialized in video, photography, and post-production to create emotional, impactful and culture-oriented content for Chewy.

- Translate story boards and scripts into shooting boards, treatments, set direction, casting and music direction, and work with studio partners and departments to execute the vision.

- Direct pet talent and human talent to create brand storytelling.

- Provide clear direction to staff and freelance video production teams in preproduction and on set.

- Work with the Post-production team to plan and shoot projects involving motion graphics and VFX.

- At the direction of the Creative Director, maintain brand guidelines, design standards, and visual consistency within video projects.

**What You'll Need**

- 4+ years of experience in video and post-production, with 2+ years of experience as a content director/video director within an agency, production company or in-house studio.

- Must love working with pets and animals of all shapes and sizes.

- Highly creative with proven examples of brand marketing content created for site and digital channels.

- Demonstrated understanding of the entire video production process, including concepting, directing talent on set, shot composition, shot list writing, lighting design, and post-production.

- Working knowledge of video and digital cinema cameras, including DSLR and mirrorless cameras (Sony, Canon).

- Proficiency with software applications used in a creative studio, such as but not limited to Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office tools, and Google apps.

- Able to receive feedback and creative critiques from stakeholders and various team members and handle with grace.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; a team player, positive attitude, and problem solver.
